About me
While studying at Central Saint Martins, I was introduced to feminist and queer art, which had a huge impact on my practice. My early work drew a lot of inspiration from adult magazines from the 1970s to the ’90s, exploring how the female form could be seen as provocative with something as subtle as a turn of the head or a twist of the leg.
In more recent years, I’ve been drawn to Renaissance imagery, which has become a key influence in my work. Women and how they’re portrayed in media continue to be my central focus.
Lately, I’ve become a bit obsessed with my (still kind of new) sewing machine, which has led to my latest series: ‘Padded Paintings’.
